The Fighting Irish Baseball team earned an impressive victory over Elyria High School on Thursday, April 23, cruising to a 12–0 win. The Irish controlled the game from start to finish, improving their record to 8–4 on the season.
Offensively, Rylan Hurley led the way with three runs scored and a double. Will Tober and Joseph Danzy each contributed two runs, an RBI, and a double in a strong all-around performance at the plate.
On the mound, John Klimczak delivered a dominant outing, pitching all five innings while allowing just two hits. He posted a 0.00 ERA with eight strikeouts and held Elyria to a .118 opponent batting average. Full game stats can be found here.
The Irish return to action on Friday, April 24, when they face Open Door Christian at Patterson Park. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
