Fighting Irish Baseball Wins Against Tallmadge

The Fighting Irish Baseball team closed out the regular season with a victory on Monday, May 18th, finishing the year with an impressive overall record of 16-9.

The Irish received a strong performance on the mound from Aidan Reynolds and Aidan Roberts. Reynolds pitched six solid innings, allowing eight hits while recording five strikeouts. Roberts came in to finish the game, pitching one inning without allowing a hit.

Offensively, JJ Pytash led the way for the Irish with an outstanding performance at the plate, recording a single, double, and triple while driving in three RBIs.

With the regular season now complete, the Irish turn their focus to postseason play. They will open tournament action on Thursday, May 21st, at Skeeles Field on the campus of University of Akron. The Irish will take on Harvey High School in the Sectional Final, with first pitch scheduled for 5:00 PM. More information can be found here.
