The Fighting Irish wrestling team earned an impressive victory over Elyria Catholic on Saturday, February 7th, delivering a strong performance against strong competition.
Before the match began, the program honored its two seniors, Rylan Hurley and Duke Clayton, recognizing them for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to Irish wrestling throughout their careers. The evening also featured a special celebration as members of the 2001 state championship team returned to be recognized on the 25th anniversary of their historic season.
Once the competition got underway, the Irish put together a dominant effort on the mat, defeating the Panthers by a final score of 40-15 to cap off a memorable Senior Night.

The Irish Wrestlers have their last regular season match on Friday, February 14th at Cuyahoga Falls High School. They will compete in the Doug Dix Wrestling Tournament with wrestling starting at 9:30am. Go Irish!
