Gary Shadie to Coach Girls Flag Football for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School

We are pleased to announce Gary Shadie as the Head Coach for the new Girls Flag Football Club at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. Gary brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the program, with an extensive coaching background that includes time here at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School as the Running backs coach. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to player development, teamwork, and character building both on and off the field.

In addition to his coaching experience, Coach Shadie has served as a public service officer, exemplifying his dedication to serving others and supporting his community. 

We are truly excited to have Coach Shadie at the helm as we launch this club and provide our students with a new and meaningful athletic opportunity. The girls’ flag football regular season will begin on March 20th with tryouts on February 23rd and 24th in the cosgrove gym from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The regional tournament is May 4th-8th with the state championships on May 16th.

We are also proud to partner with the Cleveland Browns, whose support helps make opportunities like this possible for our students.

Coach Shadie will host an informational players meeting on Monday, February 3rd, at 3:10 PM in room 256 for all girls interested in joining the team.
