The Fighting Irish Girls Basketball team delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday, February 25th, defeating Revere 68–29 to earn a spot in the District Final.
The Irish were led by a balanced scoring attack. Junior Melania Cornute poured in 19 points, Sophomore Sydney Ferguson added 17, and Freshman Kennedy Halsell chipped in 15 to power the decisive victory.
With the win, the Irish advance to face Padua High School in the District Final. Padua enters the matchup with an impressive 18–4 regular-season record, highlighted by wins over Magnificat, NDCL, and Copley. They advanced through the district bracket with victories against Youngstown East and Cleveland St. Martin De Porres.
The District Final will be held at Triway High School (3205 Shreve Road, Wooster, OH 44691) on Saturday, February 28th, with tip-off set for 4:00PM.
