Girls Basketball End the Regular Season with a Win

The St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish Girls Basketball Team closed out the regular season in impressive fashion on Monday, February 9, defeating Greensburg Central Catholic by a final score of 63-35. The visiting team made the trip from Greensburg, Pennsylvania, bringing a talented and competitive squad to LeBron James Arena.

The evening began with a dominant performance from the JV team, which set the tone with a commanding 65-9 victory. The Varsity team followed suit, delivering a strong all-around effort to secure the win and improve to 16-5 on the season. With the victory, the Irish finish the regular season on a high note as they turn their focus toward postseason play.

STVM will now prepare for the sectional final on Saturday, February 21, marking the team’s first game of the postseason. The matchup will take place at LeBron James Arena with tip-off scheduled for 4:00 PM. The Irish will face Maple Heights.
