Irish bowling Competes at Tomahawk Invitational

The St. Vincent–St. Mary Fighting Irish Girls and Boys Bowling teams competed at the Tomahawk Invitational, hosted by Copley, on Saturday, January 24, at Riviera Lanes.

Both teams turned in strong performances, with the boys finishing fourth and the girls placing fifth overall. The boys earned a 233–187 victory over Highland to advance to the fourth-place match, before falling to Marysville, 235–129, to secure their fourth-place finish.

The girls battled Springfield in their placement match, falling 2–1. The Irish opened the series with a narrow 111–110 victory, but dropped the final two games by scores of 115–107 and 135–115.

The bowling teams return to action on Tuesday, January 27, when they face CVCA at Station 300. Bowling is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM.
