Multiple Irish Wrestlers Earn Podium Finishes at Catholic Invitational

The St. Vincent–St. Mary Fighting Irish wrestling team competed at the 64th Annual Catholic Invitational Tournament, facing strong competition from programs across the region. The Irish delivered a solid overall performance, highlighted by multiple individual placers and a championship finish.

Five Irish wrestlers earned podium finishes during the two-day tournament. Junior Taggart Wade led the way with an impressive tournament run, earning a victory in his weight class and capturing a championship for the Irish.

The Fighting Irish will return to action on January 24 when they travel to Streetsboro High School for a tri-match against Streetsboro and Lake Catholic. Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM.
