The Fighting Irish Softball team earned a strong 14-4 victory over Ellet on Thursday, April 30th, showcasing an impressive offensive performance from start to finish.
The Irish came out hot, scoring seven runs in the first inning and never looking back. They added one run in the second, one in the fourth, three in the fifth, and two in the sixth, while holding Ellet to four runs in the opening inning.
With the win, the Irish improve to 10-10 on the season.
Kate Krabill led the way in the circle, pitching a complete six-inning game. She recorded four strikeouts while posting a 1.17 ERA and a .269 opponent batting average. Krabill also made a significant impact at the plate, finishing with three runs scored, one RBI, and a triple to cap off an outstanding all-around performance.
The Irish will return to action on Saturday, May 2nd, as they travel to North Royalton for a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 PM, with game two set for 2:00 PM.
