Baseball Wins District Semi-Final Against Revere

The Fighting Irish Baseball team won their game against Revere High School on Tuesday, May 26th winning the District Semi-Final. With the final score of 5-3, Revere kept it close, but the Irish were able to close it out thanks to a great all around team performance.

On the mound for the Irish was Will tober pitching all seven innings. During that time, he had two strikeouts, a .231 OBA, and a 3.00 ERA during the game. The Irish batted an average of .238 on the day. With runs coming from Quinn Yori, Will Tober, Joseph Danzy, Alex Slone, and Brady Whitney. JJ Pytash had a great performance in the outfield grabbing four putouts off of four chances. Full game stats can be found here.

The Irish now direct their attention to the District Final on Thursday, May 28th. they will play Hawken at Medina High School. The game will begin at 5:00pm. For more gameday ticketing information click here. Hawken is the 10 seed in the region. They finished the regular season with a record of 19-7 with notable wins against VASJ, Beachwood, and Harvey. In the playoffs they have faced Benedictine and Gilmour Academy winning both games 3-2 and 3-0. Good luck boys and Go Irish!
