The Fighting Irish Boys Basketball team delivered a dominant second-half performance Tuesday night, defeating Medina Buckeye High School 79–45 to advance to the District Final.

Buckeye entered the contest with a 13–10 record and battled early, keeping the game within reach in the first half as the Irish took a 33–22 lead into the locker room. After the break, however, the Irish elevated their intensity on both ends of the floor. A decisive 29–8 third quarter created separation, fueled by defensive pressure and efficient scoring. The momentum carried into the fourth quarter, where the Irish added 17 more points to secure the convincing victory.

Sophomore Aiden Reynolds led the scoring effort with 17 points, while senior DeCarlo Prince added 16. Senior Leigh Cotton controlled the glass, pulling down 10 rebounds to anchor a strong team effort.

With the win, the Irish advance to the District Final, where they will face Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. The Royals hold a 20–4 record and earned their spot with postseason victories over East Technical High School by a score of 72–14 and Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School by a score of 71–62.

The District Final will mark the second meeting between the Irish and the Royals this season, with the Irish claiming victory in the first matchup.
