The Fighting Irish Boys Basketball team delivered a dominant performance Friday night, defeating Wooster High School 71-41 in the Sectional Final to punch their ticket to the District Semifinal.
The Irish set the tone early and never looked back. After building a 27-12 lead by halftime, they continued to apply pressure in the second half. A 27-14 advantage in the third quarter extended the margin, and a strong fourth quarter sealed the convincing victory. The Irish led from start to finish.
Leading the way offensively was senior DeCarlo Prince with 18 points. Junior Elijah Chapman added 12, while junior Jaden Jacobs chipped in 10 to round out the double-digit scorers.
With the win, the Irish advance to face Buckeye High School in the District Semifinal. Buckeye enters the matchup following an 87-80 victory over Garrett Morgan.
The next game will take place Tuesday, March 3rd at LeBron James Arena. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM. More information regarding the game can be found here.
