Boys Basketball Falls to St. Ignatius

The Fighting Irish varsity boys basketball team dropped a hard-fought contest to a talented St. Ignatius squad on Monday, December 22. Earlier in the evening, the Freshman and Junior Varsity teams also faced tough matchups, falling by scores of 59–40 and 56–41, respectively.

Despite the result at the varsity level, the Irish were led by strong senior performances. Leigh Cotton recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, providing a steady presence on both ends of the floor. Caleb Hill added 13 points, while DeCarlo Prince paced the team offensively with a game-high 16 points.

The Irish will look to bounce back in their next outing as they travel to the Canton Field House to take on former Division IV state champions Maysville. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Go Irish!
