The Fighting Irish varsity boys basketball team earned a hard-fought 54-45 victory over Louisville High School on February 13, capping off a strong night for the program. The freshman team fell 56-50, while the JV squad secured a 40-29 win before varsity took the floor.
The Irish varsity came out with energy, jumping to a 15-6 lead after the first quarter. Louisville responded in the second, trimming the deficit to 25-23 at halftime. St. Vincent–St. Mary regained control in the third quarter, outscoring the Leopards 20-8 to create separation and maintain the advantage the rest of the way.
