Fighting Irish Boys Volleyball Finishes OHSAA Division II State Runner-Up

The Fighting Irish Boys Volleyball team concluded another remarkable season on Saturday, May 30, finishing as OHSAA State Runner-Up after falling to a talented Bishop Fenwick squad in the Division II State Championship match.

Despite a hard-fought effort against one of the state’s top teams, the Irish were defeated 3-0 in the championship match, capping off a season filled with accomplishments, resilience, and historic success.

The state finals appearance marked the program’s fifth consecutive trip to the OHSAA Final Four, a feat that has made St. Vincent-St. Mary one of the premier boys volleyball programs in Ohio. According to the OHSAA, the Fighting Irish are the only boys volleyball program in the state to reach the Final Four in each season since the sport became officially sanctioned.

Throughout the season, the Irish demonstrated their talent and determination, overcoming challenges and competing against the best teams in Ohio. Their postseason run once again showcased the strength of the program and the culture that has been built through years of hard work and dedication.
