The Fighting Irish Boys Volleyball team captured the Regional Championship on Saturday, May 23rd with a dominant 3-0 sweep over Holland Springfield, earning their fifth consecutive trip to the State Final Four.
Entering the match as the No. 3 seed against the No. 1-seeded Blue Devils, the Irish embraced the underdog role and delivered one of their most impressive performances of the season. After battling through a tightly contested opening set, STVM found its rhythm and controlled the remainder of the match on both sides of the court.
The Irish secured the first set 25-22 before pulling away in the second set with a commanding 25-11 victory. STVM closed out the sweep in the third set, 25-18, punching their ticket back to the state’s biggest stage.
