The Fighting Irish Girls Basketball team captured its fourth consecutive District Championship with a hard-fought 64–53 victory at Triway High School.
Facing a strong Padua Franciscan High School team that entered the District Final with a 20–4 record, the Irish rose to the occasion. In a competitive matchup from start to finish, STVM executed down the stretch to secure the win and continue its postseason run.
With the victory, the Irish advance to the Regional Semifinal, where they will take on Highland High School. Highland enters the game with a 22–3 overall record and is coming off a 55–27 win over Rocky River High School.
