Girls Basketball Wins Regional Championship, Advances to State Final Four

The Fighting Irish Girls Basketball team claimed the Regional Championship with a 46–36 victory over Toledo Notre Dame Academy on Saturday, March 7. The Irish controlled the game for much of the afternoon, maintaining a narrow lead before pulling away late to secure the win and the regional title.

With the victory, the Irish advance to the State Final Four, where they will face Unioto High School. Unioto enters the matchup with an impressive 25–2 record this season, with their only losses coming against Bishop Hartley and Harvest Preparatory School. During their postseason run, Unioto has defeated Sheridan, Steubenville, Central Catholic, and Bishop Hartley, including a decisive 66–44 victory over Bishop Hartley in the regional final.

This marks the first trip to the State Final Four for the Fighting Irish since 2019, a significant milestone for the program and a testament to the team’s hard work throughout the season.

Congratulations to our girls basketball team on this outstanding achievement. Additional information regarding the upcoming game can be found here.
