Both the boys and the girls cross country teams competed at Boardman High School on Saturday October 25th in the regional competition.
The boys competed at the division II level and the girls division III.Â
The boys had a great performance against very tough competition. They finished 38 out of 44 teams. Notable performances came from Marcus Chuba VM27 and Alex Kee VM27. Chuba placed 125 with a time of 17:42 and Kee placed 185 with a time of 18:06. Congratulations to the boys on a great season!
The girls came in 4th place out of 25 teams and qualified for the state race! Every girl had a great race with the two top finishers being Savaya Woody VM28 and Julia Rea VM27. Woody finished fourth with a time of 19:17 and Rea finished 15th with a time of 20:13.Â
The girls team which consists of Savaya Woody VM28, Julia Rea VM27, Daphne Kindbom VM28, Grace Shoemaker VM27, Claire Slanina VM26, Lucy Pariso VM27, Maddy Sellers VM29, and Jane Porter VM27 will compete on November 1st at Fortress Obetz in the state race! Come out and show support to the ladies as they compete! Go Irish!
