Congratulations to our Good Company Student-Athletes of the Week for February 8–15, Mia Schmoekel VM26 and Cole Palma VM29. Both student-athletes delivered outstanding performances this past weekend, representing the Irish at a high level and continuing to showcase the commitment and competitive spirit of our athletic programs.
Mia competed in the OHSAA Sectional Tournament on Sunday, February 15th, where she turned in an impressive showing. She bowled three individual games and contributed in the team’s Baker format competition, finishing with scores of 138, 177, and 192 for a strong 507 series. Her performance earned her a qualifying spot at the District Tournament, which will take place on Monday, February 23rd at 10:00 AM at Rebman Recreation.
On the wrestling mat, Cole continued his dominant season at the Doug Dix Wrestling Tournament. He posted a perfect 5-0 record, winning all five matches by pin in commanding fashion. His performance earned him Tournament MVP honors and played a pivotal role in helping the Irish secure the overall team championship.
