The Fighting Irish softball team opened its season in exciting fashion at Firestone Stadium, earning a hard-fought 13–12 victory over the Massillon Tigers. After falling behind 7–0 early, the Irish showed tremendous resilience, battling back throughout the game to secure the comeback win and start the season 1–0.
The team looks to carry that momentum into a busy upcoming stretch. The Irish are scheduled to face Field High School on Thursday, March 26th at Firestone Stadium. They will then return on Saturday, March 28th for a doubleheader, taking on Gilmour Academy at 1:00 PM followed by Louisville at 3:00 PM.
