The St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish boys basketball team secured a hard-fought victory over the CVCA Royals, 62-52, in an impressive come-from-behind performance. Senior DeCarlo Prince led the team with 28 points, 22 of which came in the second half, while nine Irish players contributed to the scoring effort.
The Irish trailed by nine points at halftime but mounted a powerful second-half surge, outscoring the Royals 42-23 to take control of the game. The team’s balanced attack and depth allowed them to spread the scoring, overwhelming a talented CVCA squad and securing the win.
St. Vincent-St. Mary will next compete in the Flyin’ to the Hoop tournament in Cincinnati at Kettering Fairmont High School, where they will face Moeller High School at 3:00 p.m.
