The Fighting Irish softball team earned a 4–2 victory over the Southeast Pirates on Wednesday, April 8, improving to 4–5 on the season in their ninth game of the year.
The Irish offense was balanced throughout the lineup, with runs scored by Mackenzie McFarland, Ella Kim, Kate Krabill, and Ali Zajac. Krabill led the way at the plate with three RBI, highlighting a strong overall offensive performance.
In the circle, Krabill delivered a complete-game effort, pitching all seven innings. She allowed just two runs while finishing with a 2.00 ERA and holding Southeast to a .160 opponent batting average in an impressive outing.
The Irish will look to carry this momentum into their next contest over spring break as they take on Manchester on Friday, April 10 at Firestone Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 PM. Go Irish!
