Senior DeCarlo Prince etched his name into St. Vincent–St. Mary basketball history on Friday, January 23, surpassing the 1,000-career-point milestone in a rivalry victory over Archbishop Hoban High School.
Entering the game just 14 points shy of the mark, Prince patiently worked toward the milestone throughout the night. After sitting at 12 points for much of the third quarter, the moment finally arrived when he was fouled on a shot and stepped to the free-throw line. With the student section on its feet, Prince knocked down both attempts, with the second free throw officially marking his 1,000th career point.
It was a special moment for a senior who has poured countless hours of dedication and heart into the goal. Congratulations to DeCarlo Prince on this outstanding achievement.
