Two Boys and Two Girls Basketball Players Earn All-Ohio Honors

Following outstanding seasons on the court, four Fighting Irish Boys and Girls Basketball players earned postseason All-Ohio honors.

On the girls side, junior Melania Cornute was named First Team All-Ohio after a tremendous season in which she averaged 22 points per game. Sophomore Sydney Ferguson also earned All-Ohio recognition after a great season, being named Second Team after averaging 14.5 points per game.

For the boys, two seniors were honored for their strong performances this season. DeCarlo Prince was named Second Team All-Ohio after averaging 17 points per game, while Leigh Cotton earned All-Ohio Honorable Mention honors with an average of 12 points per game.

Congratulations to these four student-athletes on an outstanding season and well-deserved recognition. Go Irish!
